National Hispanic Cultural Center — Fausto Dozal, Week 3

 On July 28th, I continued to work on inventory and ended my research on Think, See, Feel.


On July 29th, I helped the other interns on different research, and we collaborated on refining different ideas regarding educational outreach.


On July 30th, I had my storytime, and we got to explore 516 Arts Museum to understand a different museum model.

On July 31st, we had a field trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico, and we explored the International Museum of Folk Art and SITE Santa Fe—two museums with operational models that differ from the National Hispanic Cultural Center.



On August 1st, I attended First Friday—a monthly volunteer outreach event—and got to meet with the museum’s most dedicated volunteers. I also got to meet with the museum’s graphic designer and understand the work that she does there. At the end of the day, I helped the NHCC set up one of their outreach events called Vamos Arte.

Hi everyone,      Today marks my first official week working at the museum!
